Terms and Condition

Nortaz Safari is a​ trading name of NORTAZ SAFARI LIMITED a Tour operator company, registered in Tanzania. The following terms as used in these Terms & Conditions shall be considered synonymous… Safari, tour, itinerary and trip, all of which refer to the travel arrangements being booked with Nortaz Safari. Additionally, the following terms: client, guest, participant, member, passenger and traveler all refer to you, as the traveler.

1.0 . Tour Prices quoted are valid until Dec 31, 2025 and include:

● Accommodations as indicated in each itinerary, based on either twin-bed rooms or double bed rooms (or tents where applicable).

● Meals as indicated in each itinerary, and domestic bottled water with group meals.

● Arrival and departure transfers and all other land transport.

● For Kilimanjaro and other mountains: Services of professional and licensed English speaking

guides (or other specified international language speaking guides), skilled cook, and enough

number of porters for carrying your luggage, food, and water.

● For safaris: Services of English speaking driver guide (or other specified international

language speaking guide), and a skilled cook for camping safari.

● Entrance fees to National Parks, game reserves and museums, and ALL other applicable fees

and taxes.

● A Safari vehicle, equipped with luxurious game viewing and touring, with a guarantee

window seat!

1.1 . Not included in quoted tour prices:

Costs of passports or visas; excess baggage charges; travel insurance; airfares and airport departure taxes (unless explicitly stated); sightseeing, game drives or meals not listed in the itinerary; personal expenses such as beverages, (other than bottled water as noted in Tour Inclusions), laundry, communication charges, and gratuities.

1.2 . Reservations and payments:

A minimum non-refundable deposit of 30% of the quoted price must be paid at the booking time. The remainder of the price of your trip is due 90 days prior to your departure date. Accepted methods of payments to our booking office include check, money order, bank draft, wire transfer or credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).

1.3 . Cancellations:

Cancellation of a holiday must be made in writing and is effective from the day we receive the written notification.

Cancellations received by Nortaz Safari 120 to 61 days prior to departure are subject to a 30% of the quoted price per person cancellation penalty; cancellations received 60-46 days prior to departure are subject to a penalty of 50% of the quoted price per person; 45-21 days is 75% of the quoted price per person. Cancellations received 20 days or less are subject to forfeiture of 100% of the quoted price per person. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

1.4 . Guest representation and consent:

The person making a booking with Nortaz Safari, warrants that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of all other persons included in such a booking The payment of the deposit or any other partial payment for a reservation on a tour constitutes a consent by all guests covered by that payment to all provisions of the Terms and Conditions contained herein whether the guest has signed the contract or not.

1.5 . Participation:

Persons not fit for long trips due to heart disease, chronic illness, physical handicap, advanced pregnancy or mental illness should not participate in these rigorous travel programs.

1.6 . Alterations to tours:

Nortaz Safari reserves the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, security matters and/or events beyond its control make such alterations necessary.

1.7 . Specific accommodations:

Accommodations and arranged sightseeing are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Nortaz Safari control. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.

1.8 . Special requests:

Specific requests such as connecting or adjacent rooms, smoking or non-smoking rooms and special dietary needs should be advised at the time of booking. Please be advised that every effort will be made to secure your special request; however, they can not be guaranteed.

1.9 . Baggage Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour. Luggage weight restrictions on some Internal flights may apply; details will be provided on your itinerary.

2.0 . Photography:

Nortaz Safari may take photographs or film of its trips and trip participants, and participant grants Nortaz Safari express permission to do so and for Nortaz Safari to use such for promotional or commercial use.

2.1 . Departure date and price:

These tours are scheduled to operate through December 31, 2019. Prices shown herein are based on tariffs, exchange rates and airfares in effect on January, 2017; and Nortaz Safari reserves the right to alter prices quoted should inflation, costs of fuel, labor or material, air fares or foreign exchange rates change.

2.2 . Claims and refunds:

Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed tour services. There will not be any refund if you cancel the tour that is in progress. Please see our Limits on Responsibility. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 45 days of the termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting statement from the Tour Operating Company verifying the claim.

2.3 . Nortaz Safari ́s responsibility:

NORTAZ SAFARI LIMITED., its employees, shareholders, officers, directors, successors, agents and assigns (collectively Nortaz Safari)does not own or operate any entity which is to or doe provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, local ground or safari operators, including, without limitation, various entities which may be affiliated with Nortaz Safari and/or which may utilize the Nortaz Safari name, guides, food and drink service providers, equipment suppliers, etc. As a result, Nortaz Safari is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person or entity it does not own or control, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control.

In addition and without limitation, Nortaz Safari is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, disease, illness, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.

2.4 .Risks:

There are certain inherent risks in adventure travel of the type involved here. These include, but are not limited to, risks of white water rafting, kayaking and rafting (for example dangers of rapidly moving water, rocks and other submerged objects, hypothermia, etc), horseback riding, (for example, unpredictable behavior by the horses, being spooked, etc) hiking, climbing mountains (for example, rock slides, falling stones, etc), walking safaris, downhill or cross country skiing, (for example, equipment failures, ice or other trail obstructions) and in all trips dangers of animals, inaccessibility to medical attention and difficulty in evacuation from remote locations in the case of a medical emergency. Traveler assumes all such risks with regard to these possibilities.

ANY PAYMENT TO NORTAZ SAFARI CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT HEREIN
