Tour Plan

  • Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park (Game Drive & Overnight)
Your journey begins with an early pick-up from Arusha or the airport, followed by a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of rolling landscapes, Maasai homesteads, and the vast Rift Valley before reaching the endless plains of the Serengeti. Upon arrival, your game drive begins immediately, introducing you to one of Africa's richest wildlife ecosystems. The central Serengeti offers excellent year-round sightings, with opportunities to spot lions resting under acacia trees, elephants moving gracefully across the plains, and cheetahs scanning the horizon. Large herds of zebras and wildebeest may already hint at the migration's presence. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness. In the afternoon, continue exploring different habitats, from open plains to kopjes where predators often gather. As the day comes to a close, proceed to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight, immersed in the sounds of the wild and anticipation for the days ahead.
  • Day 2: Serengeti – Ndutu (Migration & Calving Zone)
After breakfast, depart central Serengeti and journey south toward the Ndutu region, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This transition marks the beginning of one of nature's most extraordinary spectacles—the Great Migration calving season. As you approach Ndutu, the landscape changes into short-grass plains, ideal for grazing and birthing. Upon arrival, your game drive focuses on locating the vast herds of wildebeest and zebras that gather here between January and March. During this time, thousands of calves are born each day, creating a dramatic and emotional wildlife experience. The abundance of vulnerable newborns attracts predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, offering intense and unforgettable sightings. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, allowing you to remain close to the action. In the afternoon, continue tracking the herds and observing the interactions between predators and prey. As the sun sets over the plains, head to your camp or lodge in Ndutu for dinner and overnight, surrounded by one of the most active wildlife scenes on Earth.
  • Day 3: Full Day in Ndutu (Calving Experience)
After an early breakfast, set out for a full day dedicated to exploring Ndutu and witnessing the calving season in depth. The early morning hours are particularly rewarding, as predators are most active and the plains come alive with movement. You may witness newborn calves taking their first steps, mothers protecting their young, and predators carefully observing the herds. Spend the day moving across different areas of Ndutu, including Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, where wildlife gathers in large numbers. The open plains allow for exceptional visibility, making it easier to follow wildlife interactions and capture incredible photographs. In addition to wildebeest, you will encounter zebras, giraffes, elephants, and a wide range of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic location and continue your game drive into the afternoon, maximizing your time in this remarkable ecosystem. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight, reflecting on a day filled with raw, authentic wildlife moments that define the African safari experience.
  • Day 4: Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha (End of Safari)
After breakfast, depart Ndutu and head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a final highlight of your safari. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dense wildlife population and breathtaking scenery. The crater floor offers excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, along with lions, elephants, buffalo, and hippos. The diverse habitats—grasslands, swamps, and soda lakes—support a wide range of species, making for an exceptional game drive. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, surrounded by stunning views of the crater walls. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable calving safari adventure.
