Your journey begins with a morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for a scenic flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari guide and immediately begin your drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a rich and rewarding safari experience. Upon entering the park, your game drive begins, with excellent opportunities to spot elephants gathering along the Tarangire River, as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species. The park is also home to predators such as lions and leopards, often seen resting in shaded areas. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site within the park, surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness. In the afternoon, continue exploring the park’s diverse landscapes, capturing unforgettable wildlife moments. As the day winds down, exit the park and drive to Karatu, where you will check in at Eileen’s Trees Inn. Enjoy a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight in a peaceful garden setting. After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its high concentration of wildlife and breathtaking scenery. The crater floor is home to the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, as well as lions, elephants, buffalo, and hippos. As you explore the crater, you will encounter a variety of ecosystems, from open grasslands to swamps and soda lakes, each supporting a unique range of wildlife. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, taking in the stunning surroundings. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel, marking the end of your short yet unforgettable fly-in safari experience.
