The Tarangire River acts as a magnet for wildlife, attracting zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and various antelope species. Day 02: Karatu – Central Serengeti (En Route Game Drive)
After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti. The journey offers breathtaking views as you ascend the highlands and descend into the vast Serengeti plains. A stop at the Ngorongoro viewpoint allows for stunning panoramic photos before continuing your journey. Upon entering the Serengeti, your game drive begins immediately. The central Serengeti is rich in wildlife, with frequent sightings of lions, elephants, cheetahs, and large herds of herbivores. The iconic kopjes provide perfect resting spots for predators and scenic highlights for photography. Day 03: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Mara River Region)

This region is where the drama of the Great Migration unfolds, as thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt to cross crocodile-infested waters. The drive itself is a game drive, offering opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. As you approach the Mara River, keep an eye out for large herds gathering along the banks, often hesitating before making the dramatic plunge. The crossings are unpredictable but incredibly rewarding when witnessed. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the river, allowing you to stay close to potential crossing points. In the afternoon, continue exploring the area, following the movement of the herds and searching for predators such as lions and crocodiles. Proceed to your camp or lodge in Northern Serengeti for dinner and overnight. -

Spend a full day exploring the Mara River region, maximizing your chances of witnessing the dramatic river crossings. After an early breakfast, head out to key crossing points where herds often gather. The anticipation builds as thousands of wildebeest crowd the riverbanks, creating one of nature’s most powerful spectacles. When the crossing begins, it is a breathtaking and intense experience, as animals plunge into the river while crocodiles lie in wait. Even outside the crossings, the region offers excellent wildlife viewing, including elephants, giraffes, and predators following the migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, remaining close to the action. In the afternoon, continue your exploration, tracking the herds and observing the rich ecosystem of the northern Serengeti. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. -
