5 Days, Biking Kilimanjaro

Finally, we have launched what has been missing, cyclist can now summit the rooftop of Africa by cycling. For several years now, significant number of our clients have shown their interest for biking the legendary Kilimanjaro. As a listening company we took our time in mastering this package by empowering our guides with necessary and required knowledge that will maximize our clients summit rate, assure their safety and well-being while on the trail.

DAY 01. MARANGU – KILEMA GATE – HOROMBO HUT.

It’s the very first day to the great and wonderful adventure ahead of us, so what about a shining smile and some great attitude!  A day started right after breakfast at your hotel, you will be peaked from their and driving towards Kilimanjaro region. Will stop at Marangu gate for registration and collect climbing permit then proceeding to Kilema gate where our ride starts. Our camping base for today will be at Horombo Hut.

DAY 02. HOROMBO.

We start our second day right after awakening breakfast served by our awesome mountain cooks. A cycling through alpine desert with parts of the trail be covered by small stones, the aim today is to reach Mawenzi Hut and then back to Horombo.

DAY 03. HOROMBO – KIBO HUT.

After breakfast, we will start our riding and the goal for today is to hit 4703m, at the known Kibo. The most part of the trail is covered by small stones. We will camp at the Kibo huts for overnight and getting ready for the big day tomorrow.

DAY 04: KIBO HUT – SUMMIT – HOROMBO HUT.

Well, the big day has finally come, today we start our journey early, our guides will awake you at 4am ready to hit the zigzag trek, it takes about 2hrs to reach the famous Hans Meyer´s cave and from there the gradient gets steeper. For about another 3hrs we will be at Gilman’s point where you will get your bikes from porters and start riding towards Uhuru peak.

After arriving at Uhuru peak, will spends some minutes celebrating our accomplishment and taking some cool photos. Riding continue down to Stella point for lunch break and then cycle down to Horombo.

DAY 05: HOROMBO HUT – KILEMA GATE – ARUSHA/ AIRPORT.

Today marks a very first day after the successful attempt to the highest mountain in Africa! We start a day with no rush, after breakfast we begin our final cycle at Kilimanjaro. Trail takes us to Kilema gate where our car will be waiting and transfer us to Maragu gate for checkout process then hit the road to our hotel in Arusha/ Airport.
